Softer, Smoother, Silent.

Simplify your strategies for a more malleable mandible.

September 15, 1-2pm EST

Why are so many singers’ jaws

popping, clicking and sticking?

It’s easy to assume that it’s TMJ (temporomandibular joint disorder), but it’s possible that they’ve just never learned to use their jaw! That might sound implausible but think of one activity we do that involves the jaw without the lips and tongue…I haven’t thought of anything in years of asking.

It can be a challenge to individuate your articulators because they’re always working together (in speaking, singing, eating, etc). We could all use a good sit-down with our jaw and the nearby muscles that would do better if they only knew how.

So, let’s do exactly that!

What You Can Expect

Reduce pain,

Increase mobility.

In this one hour session you will learn how to work with your jaw tension in a way that is not invasive. The idea, ‘no pain, no gain,’ is 100% off base. We will prove it together, but most importantly, you will prove to yourself how pleasant finding freedom of movement can be.

Fix problems

without trying to fix problems.

The symptom - like a tight jaw - is rarely the cause of the problem just like a wilted leaf on a plant indicates a problem in the root system.

Through movement, touch, and imagination we will dive into the body’s root system and create an environment where problems often dissipate organically.

In this 60 minute segment you will feel both your jaw and voice feel freer and freer with every new strategy.

For voice teachers

singers, and voice geeks!

Whether you’re looking to resolve your own jaw stickiness or help others with theirs, through this workshop you will learn universal strategies that will apply to working with tension issues anywhere in the body and put new contemporary sciences in your senses to make some transformative shifts.
